Straight answer Los Angeles Junk Removal & Hauling holds 67 reviews at a 5.0 average on Google, plus a Yelp listing. The reviewers Google shows publicly are named below with their rating and date; their words stay on Google, linked, where we have no ability to edit them. Reviews sent to us directly are published on this page in full and unedited, or not at all.

5.0from 67 reviews on Google

Every one is attached to a real Google account on a listing we cannot edit, which is the entire point. The three below are printed exactly as they were written — we have not corrected anyone’s spelling — and the link goes to the listing so you can check that for yourself.

Those are the reviews Google exposes to a signed-out visitor, which is why they are the three you can verify in a click. Under each name is that reviewer’s own Google record — how many reviews they have written elsewhere — because an account with a history behind it is worth more than a name on a page.

    Had us out?

    Send us a review

Send it here and it goes on this page word for word. Put it on Google instead and it reaches people who have never heard of us — that helps us more, and we would rather say so.

Published as your first name and last initial.

Only so we can match it to your job. Never published.

Published. Mar Vista, Highland Park, Long Beach.

Published. Garage, couch, estate, remodel debris.

The useful ones say what we hauled, how long it took, whether the number we quoted was the number you paid, and what the place looked like afterwards.

We publish it word for word with your first name, last initial and your neighborhood — or not at all. Nothing gets edited for tone. Or leave it on Google — that proves more anyway.

    Before you book anyone

How to check out a junk hauler in LA

Seven checks, all of them things you can verify yourself in a few minutes. Every rule below is a real Los Angeles or California requirement, and the source is linked.

    1. 1

Ask for the certificate of insurance, and read the dates

Not “we're insured” over the phone — the actual certificate, with a policy period that covers the day of your job. Most Los Angeles high-rises and commercial buildings will not release a service elevator without one on file, so if a hauler cannot produce it within an hour of being asked, that tells you something. Ask before the truck is booked, not on the morning.

    2. 2

Ask where the load is going, by name

A legitimate hauler can tell you the facility. LA Sanitation publishes the audited mixed construction-and-demolition recycling rate of every certified processor in the city — Express Disposal on East Washington is audited at 89.96%, American Reclamation at 80.75%, East Valley Diversion at 78.20%. “We recycle everything” is not an answer. A facility name is. SourceLASAN C&D recycling program

    3. 3

For construction debris, ask for the hauler permit number

Mixed construction and demolition debris generated inside the City of Los Angeles must be carried by a permitted private hauler to a City-certified processing facility, under Ordinance 181519. Haulers need a LASAN Private Waste Hauler Permit and an AB 939 Compliance Permit. The penalty for a load taken anywhere else runs to $5,000. LADBS also asks building permit applicants to name their permitted hauler, so if you are mid-remodel this is not optional paperwork — it is yours to prove. SourceLASAN waste hauler compliance

    4. 4

Check the phone number on the review profile

Open the Google listing the reviews sit on and check that the phone number, the business name and the website match the ones you were given. Review profiles get bought, renamed and repointed. Ours is (323) 230-0777 everywhere, including here.

    5. 5

Ask whether your city will do it for free first

If you live in the City of Los Angeles and the items can go to the curb, LASAN's bulky-item pickup is free and, in their own wording, unlimited — furniture, mattresses, box springs, toilets, rolled carpet, large wood and e-waste, collected on your regular trash day. Santa Monica, Pasadena, Long Beach, Glendale, Burbank and Torrance all run their own free programs with their own caps. A hauler who never mentions this is not on your side. SourceLASAN bulky item pickup

    6. 6

Get the number before anything is lifted

The oldest trick in this trade is a cheap number on the phone and a different one once the truck is loaded and your driveway is full. Get the figure agreed in writing — a text is fine — before a single item moves. If a hauler will only price “when we see it” and will not commit once they have seen photos, assume the number will move.

    7. 7

Know what nobody is allowed to take

Paint, solvents, motor oil, fuel, pool chemicals, pesticides, aerosols, car batteries, propane cylinders, fluorescent tubes and mercury items are household hazardous waste. A general junk hauler transporting them is breaking California law, so a company that shrugs and says “sure, throw it on” is telling you how it handles everything else. All of it is taken free at the seven S.A.F.E. Collection Centers, up to a state limit of 125 lb or 15 gallons per visit. SourceS.A.F.E. collection centers

    Reviews, answered

What people ask before they trust a stranger with a truck.

Does Los Angeles Junk Removal & Hauling have reviews?

Yes — 67 of them at a 5.0 average on our Google Business Profile, plus a Yelp listing. Both are linked from this page. They stay there rather than being retyped here, because a quote on a company's own website traces back to nobody.

Are the reviews on this page real?

Every name, star rating and date on this page is copied from our Google listing, and the listing is linked beside each one so you can check it. What you will not find here is the reviewers' sentences retyped into our own layout. Google shows three reviews publicly; their words stay there, where we cannot touch them. Send a review straight to us and it goes up in full — first name, last initial, neighborhood, the job, the date, unedited. We have never bought, traded or incentivized a review and we never will.

What do your reviews actually say about you?

Google tallies the topics people mention, which is a better answer than anything we could write. Fair pricing comes up 11 times, personable staff 10, polite 5, punctual 4, then garage cleanouts, sofa removals and hauling. That tally is Google's, not ours, and it is on the listing linked from this page.

How do I leave a review?

The fastest route is Google — this link opens the review box for our listing and takes about thirty seconds. If you would rather send it straight to us, use the form on this page and we will publish it here word for word.

How do I check whether a junk removal company in Los Angeles is legitimate?

Four things, in order. Ask for a certificate of insurance and read the dates on it. Ask which facility the load is going to, by name. If any of it is construction or demolition debris from within the City of Los Angeles, ask for their LASAN waste hauler permit number, because hauling mixed C&D without one is not allowed and the penalty runs to $5,000 per load taken anywhere other than a City-certified processor. And check that the phone number on their review profile is the same number that answers when you call.

Do you pay for reviews or offer a discount for one?

No. Paying for reviews violates Google's policies and California law on undisclosed endorsements, and it is also self-defeating — a bought review tells a customer nothing. We ask once, after the job, and that is the whole strategy.

What should a review of a junk removal job actually mention?

The useful ones say what was hauled, how long it took, whether the number quoted on the phone was the number paid at the end, and what the property looked like afterwards. “Great service” helps nobody. “They cleared a two-car garage in Mar Vista in ninety minutes and swept the slab, and the price was the same as the text quote” is worth more than fifty stars.

    Where do you serve?

Greater Los Angeles — the Westside, South Bay, Central LA, the Eastside, the San Fernando Valley, the San Gabriel Valley and down to Long Beach. The areas page lists every neighborhood we work in regularly.
