Green marks the City of Los Angeles, where LASAN's free bulky pickup applies. Everything outside it runs its own program with its own limits, and each page below says which.

In short We cover greater Los Angeles — roughly everything within an hour of Culver City. That is the Westside, the South Bay, Central LA and the Eastside, the San Fernando Valley, the San Gabriel Valley, and Long Beach. Forty-four neighborhoods with a page of their own below.

Los Angeles is not one market and pretending otherwise is how hauling jobs go wrong. A third-floor walk-up in Koreatown, a gated alley in Beverly Hills, a deep Valley lot with a shed at the back, and a Long Beach bungalow are four different jobs with four different access problems and, importantly, four different sets of rules about what the city will take for free.

Each page below covers what junk removal is actually like in that neighborhood: the access, the housing stock, and the local bulky-item program with its real caps, fees and phone number. Pick yours, or just call (323) 230-0777.

14 neighborhoods

Westside

Flat, dense, and full of alleys. Most of the Westside was built as bungalow courts and duplexes with rear service access, which is why so much of our work here happens off an alley rather than a street. The constraints are parking and permit zones, not distance. Santa Monica, Culver City and Beverly Hills each run their own bulky pickup with their own caps, and they are nothing like each other.

On the job

Our own crews on Los Angeles County jobs. Side yards, narrow walkways and the back of the property is where most of the work actually happens.

8 neighborhoods

South Bay

Wider streets, real driveways, and detached garages that actually hold a car’s worth of stuff — which means South Bay garage cleanouts are usually bigger than Westside ones. Almost every city here runs its own collection through a franchise hauler rather than the City of LA, so the free-pickup rules change at each border.

8 neighborhoods

Central LA and the Eastside

The oldest housing stock we work in, and the hardest access. Pre-war fourplexes with no elevator, hillside houses with forty steps up from the street, and streets where the only legal stop is a loading zone two doors down. This is where a crew that knows the block genuinely saves you money, because the carry is most of the job.

10 neighborhoods

San Fernando Valley

Postwar ranch houses, deep lots, attached two-car garages and back yards big enough to hold a hot tub, a shed and thirty years of storage at the same time. Valley jobs skew large and skew towards garage and yard work. It is also where most of the region’s disposal infrastructure sits, including Sunshine Canyon in Sylmar.

3 neighborhoods

San Gabriel Valley

Older single-family neighborhoods with detached garages, mature trees and a lot of long-tenure households — which is why estate and multi-generational cleanouts are a bigger share of our work here than anywhere else. Pasadena and Alhambra run separate programs from LA City, with tighter volume limits than people expect.

1 neighborhoods

Long Beach and south

Its own city, its own rules, and by some distance the most generous free bulky program in the region. Long Beach housing runs from Craftsman bungalows to mid-century apartment blocks to marina condos, so job sizes swing widely.

Service area questions

What people ask about coverage, travel and local rules.

Do you cover my part of Los Angeles?

If you are within about an hour of Culver City, yes. That covers the Westside, the South Bay, Central LA, the Eastside, the San Fernando Valley, the San Gabriel Valley and Long Beach. The list on this page is where we work most often, not a boundary — if your neighborhood is not listed, call and ask, because it is usually still a yes.

Is the price different depending on which neighborhood I'm in?

The volume tier is the same everywhere. What changes with location is access: stairs, long carries, no legal parking, gated alleys, and freight elevator bookings in high-rises. Those are quoted up front, not added later. See how pricing works.

Does the free city bulky pickup work the same across LA?

No, and this is the single most common misunderstanding. LASAN's free unlimited bulky pickup applies to City of Los Angeles addresses. Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood, Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, Long Beach, Torrance, Inglewood, El Segundo and Manhattan Beach all run separate programs with their own annual caps, item limits and in some cases fees. Each neighborhood page lists the local rules.

Do you have a location I can drop items off at?

No. We are a service-area business with no public yard or storefront, so there is nowhere to drive to. We come to you anywhere in greater Los Angeles. If you want a free drop-off option instead, the S.A.F.E. Collection Centers and the mattress recycling sites are listed on our services and mattress removal pages.
