Working with Hunter and this company was great. Gave us a quick quote over the phone after sending photos and was able to help us the SAME day. Removal was fast and easy. We definitely recommend going with this company.
Same-day hauling across Torrance, from the tract garages in West Torrance to the industrial blocks off Crenshaw, quoted flat before we start.

Torrance gives each address one free large item pickup per calendar year, up to twenty items, booked by phone only on (855) 354-5623. Mattresses are accepted and recycled. Metal appliances, e-waste, tires, auto parts and construction debris are all excluded. Twenty items is a decent haul, but it is once a year and it is curbside only, so most Torrance garage cleanouts and property clear-outs still need a truck and a crew. That is what we do, at one flat volume-based price.
Torrance's program is unusual: a small number of visits with a high item cap. One pickup, twenty items. That is a good deal if you plan it and stage everything at the curb on the right day. It is no use at all if you have already used it this year, if the items are metal appliances or electronics, or if what you actually need is somebody to empty a garage.
Torrance also has more mid-century tract housing with deep two-car garages than almost anywhere else in the South Bay, which means the classic Torrance job is thirty years of accumulation behind a roll-up door. See garage cleanouts and how our pricing works.
The City of Torrance runs one free large item pickup per address per calendar year, with a cap of twenty items. It is scheduled by telephone only on (855) 354-5623 — there is no online form for it — and it is a curbside collection. Mattresses are accepted and recycled, which is genuinely good.
The exclusions are broad and they matter. Metal appliances are out, which means fridges, washers, dryers and water heaters are not part of this. Electronic waste is out. Tires are out. Automotive parts are out. Construction and demolition debris is out. So the free pickup is essentially furniture, mattresses and household bulk, once a year, if you can carry it to the curb.
Practical advice: do not waste your annual pickup on three items in March. Wait until you have a real pile, stage it properly, and use the twenty-item cap fully. Then call us for the appliances, the e-waste, the debris, the second clear-out, or anything you cannot lift.

Torrance is the South Bay's biggest and most suburban city, and its housing stock reflects that: 1950s and 1960s tract homes on wide flat lots, attached two-car garages, driveways a truck can actually use. Access is rarely the problem here. Volume is. A Torrance garage that has been filling since the house was bought holds far more than people estimate, and paint, solvents, motor oil and old chemicals are almost always somewhere in it, all of which need separating out for hazardous disposal rather than tipping.
South Torrance and the Hollywood Riviera edge get hillier, with sloped driveways and split-level houses, so a stair carry appears. West Torrance and Old Torrance are flat and easy. Along Crenshaw, Western and the 405 corridor the city turns industrial and commercial: warehouses, auto shops, medical offices and retail. Those jobs need insurance on file, dock access and after-hours scheduling, and they generate pallets, fixtures, office furniture and scrap metal rather than household goods.

Our own crews on Los Angeles County jobs. The junk removal we run in Torrance looks like this too: side yards, narrow walkways and the back of the property is where the work actually is.
We sort in the garage before anything is loaded. Usable goods go to donation, scrap metal to a metal recycler, and mattresses into California's state-funded recycling program. Electronics are universal waste and go to a certified handler, which matters here because Torrance's own program refuses e-waste outright. Paint goes through PaintCare, which runs over 800 free California drop-off sites, and automotive fluids, solvents and pool chemicals go to a S.A.F.E. Collection Center — Gaffey Street at 1400 N Gaffey St in San Pedro and Hyperion in Playa del Rey are the two nearest, both weekends 9 to 3, both free to LA County residents, both capped at 125 pounds or 15 gallons per visit. Construction debris goes to a certified mixed C&D processor; California Waste Services in Gardena is close and runs an audited 82.13% recycling rate.

We are on these streets constantly because we are already next door: Redondo Beach, Gardena, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hawthorne. If your job straddles two of them it is still one visit and one number. The full list is on areas we serve.

We are a service-area business with no yard or storefront, so there is nothing to drive to — the truck comes to you. The whole list is on areas we serve.
Two-car garages, appliances the city won't take, and commercial fit-outs.
The whole garage in one visit. We sort, donate what is usable and sweep the slab.
Fridges, washers and AC units. Refrigerant units are handled as universal waste.
TVs, CRT monitors and computers. Banned from the trash in California.
Couches, sectionals, mattresses in the same trip, beds, desks and wardrobes carried down rather than dragged.
COIs, after-hours dock slots and property-manager invoicing.
Brush, palm fronds, sod, soil and storm debris, priced by weight.
The one-a-year limit drives most of these.
One per address per calendar year, up to twenty items, booked by phone only on (855) 354-5623. It is a curbside collection, so everything has to be at the curb.
No. Metal appliances are specifically excluded from the Torrance large item pickup, along with e-waste, tires, auto parts and construction debris. We take appliances, including refrigerant units, which are handled as universal waste. See appliance removal.
Yes. Mattresses are accepted on the free annual pickup and are recycled rather than landfilled. If you have missed your pickup for the year or cannot get it to the curb, we recycle it through the same state-funded program. See mattress removal.
That is our most common job here. We sort as we go, pull out donations, separate hazardous material for proper disposal, and sweep the slab. See garage cleanouts.
Yes. We carry insurance, provide certificates of insurance, and schedule around dock hours and after-hours access. See commercial junk removal.
