Working with Hunter and this company was great. Gave us a quick quote over the phone after sending photos and was able to help us the SAME day. Removal was fast and easy. We definitely recommend going with this company.
Same-day hauling across Redondo Beach, from the condo blocks near the pier to the wide lots in Hollywood Riviera, quoted flat before we start.

Redondo Beach has one of the most useful free bulky programs in the county: Athens Services collects up to four bulky or electronic items per week, free, for both single-family and multi-family residents, booked at least two days before your collection day on (888) 336-6100. Items go curbside or next to your dumpster. What it does not do is come inside, clear a garage, take construction debris or move anything the same day. That is our half.
Redondo's weekly allowance is genuinely generous, and it covers multi-family residents too, which most beach cities do not. If you have four items a week and patience, you can clear a lot over a month for nothing. We say that plainly because we would rather be the people you call for the jobs the free service cannot touch.
Those jobs are volume and access: a garage packed to the door, a condo cleared between tenants, a hot tub on a small patio, remodel debris, or a load that has to come down from a third floor today. One flat number by volume. See how our pricing works.
Athens Services holds the Redondo Beach franchise. The bulky item and e-waste program is free to single-family and multi-family residents alike, with a stated limit of four bulky or electronic items per week. You submit an online request or call (888) 336-6100 at least two days before your regular collection day, and items go curbside or beside your trash dumpster.
Two practical notes. First, the four-per-week structure means a phased clear-out is realistic here in a way it is not in Torrance or Hermosa. Second, it is still a collection program, not a labor service. Nobody is coming into your unit, down your stairs or into your garage. The city page does not publish a detailed exclusion list, so anything unusual — construction debris, hazardous material, a hot tub, tires — should be confirmed with Athens before you put it out, because an unaccepted item left at the curb becomes an illegal dumping problem for the property.

North Redondo, inland of Artesia, is mostly post-war tract housing and newer townhome infill on regular lots with driveways and attached garages. Those jobs are straightforward: back in, load, go. It is also where the garage volume lives, because a lot of these houses have been in the same family for decades.
South Redondo and the streets above the pier are a different problem. Dense condo and apartment blocks with subterranean parking too low for a box truck, gated garages, and stairs. Loads come up to the surface and out to a truck staged on the street. Around the harbour and King Harbour the parking is metered and busy, so timing matters.
Hollywood Riviera, on the hill toward Torrance, has the sloped-lot problem: houses stepping down from the street with living space below grade and long stair descents to the front door. That is a carry-priced job, not a volume-priced one, and we look at it before we quote.

Our own crews on Los Angeles County jobs. The junk removal we run in Redondo Beach looks like this too: side yards, narrow walkways and the back of the property is where the work actually is.
Donation first, always, and Redondo produces a lot of usable furniture. Mattresses go into California's state-funded recycling program; LA County has close to twenty permanent no-cost mattress collection centers and retailers are required to take back an old unit free when they deliver a new one, which is worth knowing before you pay anyone. Electronics are universal waste in California and go to a certified handler. Household hazardous material goes to a S.A.F.E. Collection Center — Hyperion in Playa del Rey and Gaffey Street in San Pedro are the two nearest, both weekends 9 to 3, both free to LA County residents, both capped at 125 pounds or 15 gallons per visit. Construction debris goes to a certified mixed C&D processor.

We are on these streets constantly because we are already next door: Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Manhattan Beach, Gardena, Hawthorne. If your job straddles two of them it is still one visit and one number. The full list is on areas we serve.

We are a service-area business with no yard or storefront, so there is nothing to drive to — the truck comes to you. The whole list is on areas we serve.
North Redondo garages, pier-side condos and Riviera stair carries.
The whole garage in one visit. We sort, donate what is usable and sweep the slab.
Couches, sectionals, mattresses in the same trip, beds, desks and wardrobes carried down rather than dragged.
Recycled through a state-funded program, not dumped. Box springs and futons too.
Drained, cut down in sections and carried out through the side gate.
TVs, CRT monitors and computers. Banned from the trash in California.
Booked and cleared the same day, most days, across LA County.
The weekly allowance surprises people.
Yes. Athens Services collects up to four bulky or electronic items per week at no charge for single-family and multi-family residents, requested at least two days before your collection day on (888) 336-6100. Items go curbside or next to your dumpster.
Volume, access and speed. Four items a week will not clear a garage, a condo turnover or an estate, and nobody from the city comes inside, down your stairs or into your garage. If you need it gone today and gone completely, that is us.
Yes, and we assume the truck will not fit down the ramp. We bring the load up to street level and load from a staged truck on the surface, which is factored into the quote.
Yes, though Athens will take up to four electronic items a week for free, so use that first if you can. For a whole office or a pile of CRT monitors we route it to a certified handler. See e-waste disposal.
Yes. Hot tubs are not a curbside item anywhere in the South Bay. We drain it, cut it down and carry it out. See hot tub removal.
Word for word from Google. Nothing tidied.
