Same-day junk removal in Los Angeles,
open 24 hours.

Booked today, gone today. We are open 24 hours Monday to Saturday and 1pm to 10pm Sunday, which is why a 4am call gets answered. No urgency surcharge, and an honest answer if today is not possible.

Free quote, no obligation · one flat number before we start · you can also text that number

In short We do same-day junk removal across Los Angeles County, and we are open 24 hours Monday to Saturday, plus Sunday 1pm to 10pm. Call and we tell you honestly whether today is possible — and if it is not, we say so instead of booking you and slipping. Same day is not priced differently from any other day. If your deadline is next week rather than tonight, we will point you at the free city pickup instead.

Nobody searches for same-day junk removal casually. Something has a date on it. Escrow records Friday. The photographer arrives at nine. The new tenant has a key and the old one left a bedroom behind. So this page answers two questions: can it happen today, and what would stop it.

The hours

Open 24 hours, Monday to Saturday

In short Monday to Saturday we are open 24 hours. Sunday we run 1pm to 10pm. Those hours are the whole differentiator: they are why a 4am call gets answered by a person, why an overnight clear before a morning walkthrough is possible, and why a 5am loading dock slot is workable rather than theoretical.

What we will not do is invent a response time. You will find LA companies promising arrival within two hours; they can substantiate that no better than we could, and the 405 does not care who booked first. Instead you get an honest read on the day: what is already scheduled, where the crew is, whether your address and volume fit what is left. Sometimes the answer is no, and that is worth more than a yes that fails.

Be honest about the free option

If you have a week, the city is free

In short Every free bulky-pickup program in LA County is slow, and nearly all are curbside only. If your deadline is a week or two out, use them. If it is today, or the items are up a staircase or in a garage, that is what a paid crew is for. Here is how long each program actually takes.

Two caveats. They are curbside programs, so nobody comes inside, up a staircase or into a garage. And the exclusions are real: LASAN refuses construction material, chemicals, commercial appliances and automotive parts at the curb, and several smaller programs also refuse mattresses, tires, e-waste or freon appliances. If that is what you have, the free route was never going to work.

What today usually means

The reasons people call at 4am

A deadline someone else set

Escrow records this week and the garage has to be empty. A buyer's walkthrough is tomorrow. A listing shoot at nine. A Section 8 inspection with a date on the letter.

A handover gone wrong

The tenant left half a flat behind and the new one arrives Monday. See commercial junk removal for the multi-unit version.

Something broke

The fridge died overnight, the water heater let go, a storm took the fence down. One household that cannot wait ten days for a curbside slot.

A move that overran

The truck is full, the lease ends at noon, and a couch, a bed and a garage of leftovers are still there. Furniture removal and garage cleanouts, same morning.

The honest constraints

What can slow today down

In short Two things genuinely limit same-day work, and neither is a scheduling excuse. Some material is illegal for a general hauler to transport at all. And disposal sites close — Sunshine Canyon's scales shut at 5pm on weekdays and 11am on Saturday, so a late heavy load can run out of gate before it runs out of daylight.

We cannot legally carry any of this: paint, stains, thinners and solvents, motor oil and automotive fluids, fuel, pool chemicals, pesticides, aerosols, automotive batteries and propane cylinders, plus fluorescent tubes, mercury items, sharps and medicines. No general hauler in California can, whatever they tell you on the phone.

All of it is taken free from City of LA and LA County residents at the seven permanent S.A.F.E. Collection Centers — Hyperion in Playa del Rey, Nicole Bernson in Northridge, Randall Street in Sun Valley, Gaffey Street in San Pedro, Washington Boulevard downtown, LA-Glendale on Colorado Boulevard, and UCLA. Most run Saturday and Sunday 9am–3pm; LA-Glendale is Saturday only and wants a state photo ID at the gate. The hard limit is 125 pounds or 15 gallons per visit, a California transportation limit rather than a city rule, so nobody can waive it.

Disposal hours matter more than people expect on urgent jobs. Household contents can be handled at almost any hour. A heavy load — tile, concrete, roofing, dirt — has to reach a scale while the scale is open, and on a Saturday afternoon that window has closed. The last constraint is access, and it is the one you can fix: gate codes, dock reservations, elevator bookings, low clearances and long carries are workable when we know, and day-killers when we find them on arrival.

What it costs

Today costs the same as Thursday

In short There is no urgency premium. Same-day work is priced by volume like everything else — quarter, half, three-quarter or full truck — with heavy material such as tile, concrete and roofing priced by weight. The number is flat, quoted before we start, and it does not move because you called at midnight.

Charging more for urgency punishes the customer for the one thing they cannot control. Our quote is free and not an obligation: if the number is wrong for you when we arrive, we leave and you owe nothing. The volume tiers are on the pricing page. Photos are the fastest route to a firm number — three or four showing the pile, the route out and anything unusually heavy.

Across the city

Same-day pickups near you

Move-outs and last-minute clears in Hollywood, Koreatown and North Hollywood, escrow deadlines and listing shoots across Santa Monica, Venice and Culver City, and urgent turnovers in Downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach. Same-day pickups, answered

The questions people ask when the deadline is today.

Can you really come today?

Often, yes — and when we cannot, we say so on the call rather than booking you and slipping. We will not promise an arrival window or a guaranteed response time, because nobody hauling in LA traffic can honestly guarantee one. We look at the day and tell you straight.

Are you actually open 24 hours?

Monday to Saturday, yes, around the clock. Sunday we run 1pm to 10pm. That is why a 4am call about a move-out gone wrong is answered by a person, and why an overnight clear before a morning inspection is normal work for us. Call at 2am and you get an answer, not a voicemail.

Do you charge extra for same-day?

No. Same-day is priced exactly like any other day: by volume, quarter to full truck, heavy material by weight, and the number quoted flat before we start. No urgency surcharge, no after-hours uplift, no weekend rate. See how our pricing works.

Should I just use the free city pickup instead?

If you have a week, yes, and we will tell you that on the phone. LASAN's bulky-item pickup is free and unlimited, booked through MyLA311, the online form or 1-800-773-2489, and collected on your regular trash day. The catch: curbside only, at least a business day's notice, and no construction debris, chemicals or anything from inside your house.

What can stop a same-day job from happening?

Three things. Hazardous material we legally cannot carry, which goes to a S.A.F.E. Collection Center instead. Disposal hours — Sunshine Canyon's scales close 5pm weekdays and 11am Saturday, so a late heavy load may stage overnight. And access: a booked dock slot, a building that bans evening work, a gate nobody can open.

Can you clear a place before an escrow close, a listing shoot or an inspection?

That is most of what same-day work is. Garages emptied before escrow records, a property that has to photograph clean tomorrow, a Section 8 or city inspection with a fixed date, a unit going to a new tenant. Tell us the deadline first and the pile second.

Do I need to be there?

No, as long as someone can grant access and you have confirmed in writing what goes. Realtors, property managers and out-of-town owners book this way constantly. We send photos before loading anything ambiguous, and written confirmation of what was removed afterwards.

The fridge died this morning. Can you take it today?

Usually. A single dead refrigerator or freezer is a quick job, and refrigerant units are routed for proper recovery rather than dropped on a scrap pile — see appliance removal. Several nearby cities will not take a freon appliance at the curb at all, which is why this one reaches us so often.

Working with Hunter and this company was great. Gave us a quick quote over the phone after sending photos and was able to help us the SAME day. Removal was fast and easy. We definitely recommend going with this company.
