In short

Inglewood has one of the best free bulky item programs in Los Angeles County: unlimited pickups at no charge through Consolidated Disposal, part of Republic, on (800) 299-4898, requested by noon the day before your collection. Appliances and e-waste are arranged separately through Inglewood Public Works on (310) 412-5333. If your items can get to the curb, use it — you should not pay anyone. Los Angeles Junk Removal & Hauling covers the rest: garages, whole-property clear-outs, remodel debris and same-day work.

We will say this plainly because it costs us money to say it. Inglewood's free bulky pickup is unlimited and it is easy to book. If you have a couch, a mattress and a table and you can get them to the curb, call (800) 299-4898 by noon the day before and pay nothing.

Where we come in is everything the program is not designed for: emptying a garage or a rear yard, clearing a property between tenants, hauling debris from a remodel, removing a shed or a hot tub, or getting something out of a second-floor unit today. See how our pricing works.

The free option first

Unlimited and free.
Genuinely, use it.

Inglewood contracts residential collection to Consolidated Disposal Service, part of Republic Services. Bulky item collection is free and unlimited, with no annual cap, requested on (800) 299-4898 by noon the day before your regular collection day. Appliances and electronic waste are handled on a separate track, arranged through the city's Public Works department on (310) 412-5333, so do not put a fridge or a TV out expecting the standard bulky truck to take it.

That combination — unlimited, next-day, free — makes Inglewood unusual in the county. The limits are the ordinary ones. It is curbside collection, so nobody enters your house, garage or yard. It does not cover construction and demolition debris. It does not cover household hazardous waste. And a property owner is liable if items are left out that the program does not accept.

On the ground

Bungalows, fourplexes
and a changing city.

Inglewood's residential core is 1920s to 1950s bungalows and small apartment buildings on compact lots, with detached garages down long driveways and alleys serving many blocks. The garages are the story here: many of these houses have been in the same family for two or three generations, and a garage cleanout in Morningside Park or Fairview Heights routinely turns up furniture, tools, paint and appliances going back decades.

The multi-family blocks along Manchester, Century and Crenshaw are fourplexes and small apartment buildings with exterior stairs and carports, so the work is a carry rather than a drive-up. And around the stadium and arena the city has changed fast, with new construction, renovation and turnover producing a steady stream of remodel debris and unit clear-outs.

Parking on the alley-served streets is tight. We stage where we can use a driveway or a carport, work fast, and leave the curb clear.

Where it goes

The disposal chain
for an Inglewood load.

Donation first: Inglewood garages produce a lot of usable tools and furniture. Scrap metal is recycled. Mattresses go into California's state-funded recycling program. Electronics are universal waste in California and go to a certified handler, which is also why the city routes e-waste separately. Paint goes through PaintCare's free drop-off network and automotive fluids, solvents and chemicals go to a S.A.F.E. Collection Center — Hyperion in Playa del Rey is the nearest, weekends 9 to 3, free to LA County residents, with the state's 125-pound or 15-gallon per-visit limit. Remodel and demolition debris goes to a certified mixed C&D processing facility; California Waste Services in Gardena, at an audited 82.13%, is one of the closest.

Inglewood
questions

Yes, the free pickup really is unlimited.

Is Inglewood's bulky item pickup really free and unlimited?

Yes. Consolidated Disposal collects bulky items in Inglewood free with no annual cap, requested on (800) 299-4898 by noon the day before your collection day. If your items are on the accepted list and you can get them to the curb, you should not be paying anyone.

Will the free Inglewood pickup take my fridge or my TV?

Not on the standard bulky truck. Appliances and e-waste are arranged separately through Inglewood Public Works on (310) 412-5333. We can also take them, routed as universal waste to a certified handler.

So when should I call you instead?

When the job is bigger than a curbside pile: a garage, a rear yard, a whole property, a rental turnover, a shed or hot tub, remodel debris, or anything that has to come out of the house today.

Do you take construction debris in Inglewood?

Yes. It is excluded from the city program, and mixed C&D debris has to go to a certified processing facility. California Waste Services in Gardena is one of the closest, at an audited 82.13% recycling rate. See construction debris removal.

Can you clear a unit today in Inglewood?

Usually. We are open Monday to Saturday 24 hours and Sunday 1pm to 10pm, and Inglewood is central to our South Bay runs. Call or text (323) 230-0777.
